Commercial & General announces completion of South Australia's major mixed-use precinct: Eighty Eight O'Connell
Commercial & General is proud to announce the completion of Eighty Eight O’Connell, South Australia's largest private mixed use development. This $300 million, landmark precinct—featuring 158 luxurious residences and over 16 premium commercial and retail tenancies—is now officially ready to welcome its first residents and businesses.
Spanning a 7,500 m² footprint on the former Le Cornu site, Eighty Eight O’Connell reinvigorates O’Connell Street with a bold, integrated vision of urban living, working, dining, wellbeing, and community—a long-awaited transformation that will reshape the heart of North Adelaide.
The first property settlements have already occurred, marking a significant milestone as residents prepare to take occupancy in the coming weeks. As part of this phase, tailored handovers are being coordinated to ensure residents begin life in their new homes with ease and confidence.
Commercial and retail tenancy fit-outs are actively underway across the three-level podium. With exceptional brands lined up—including healthcare providers, dining destinations, wellbeing services, retail outlets, and flexible workspaces—these spaces are slated to open progressively in the coming weeks through to October.
The precinct's amenities set a new benchmark in Adelaide. Eighty Eight has been delivered by the integrated development to delivery capabilities of the Commercial & General Group with construction by in-house construction division, Tandem Building. Capital for the project was provided by Commercial & General Group balance sheet alongside financing partner, Wingate a CapitaLand Investment Group Company. An effective sales campaign has been run by internally by the Commercial & General sales team, with only 13 residences remaining.
